It’s best to pack fragile items in advance using proper protective materials (e.g. bubble wrap). If needed, we can also handle their safe packing for you, with special attention to every detail.
Weather usually doesn’t cause disruptions to moves. In extreme conditions (such as heavy storms or ice), we’ll coordinate with you to find the safest solution, but rain, heat, or snow rarely pose a problem.
The short answer is no. Our 3.5-ton trucks can usually enter almost anywhere without special permits. In paid parking zones, as long as the truck is actively being loaded or unloaded, no parking fee is required. However, if the vehicle is left unattended, it is considered parked and subject to parking fees.
Labeling boxes isn’t mandatory, but it’s an important step in the moving process as it helps loading and unloading go quickly and in an organized way. Each box should be clearly marked with its contents and destination room, for example “Kitchen – Dishes” or “Living Room – Books.” This makes it easy to see where each box belongs. It’s also important to clearly mark fragile items, for example with “Fragile – Handle with Care,” to avoid any damage.

Smaller, sturdy pieces of furniture (like nightstands or dressers) can often be moved as they are, but larger, heavier, or more fragile items – such as wardrobes, bed frames, and desks – usually need to be disassembled. This not only makes transportation easier but also reduces the risk of damage. Plus, disassembly frees up more space in the truck, making the move more efficient. During a move, it’s especially important to keep cash, jewelry, and other valuables safe. These should be packed separately and kept with you at all times in a small bag or lockable box.
